The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southern Lehigh, who took down 173rd ranked Pen Argyl, 28-20.
The Spartans moved up to 300 from 367 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Colonial. Southern Lehigh climbed the ranks as a result of a 28-20 win over the Green Knights.
Brett Albinson and Philip Vass gave Bangor a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Albinson threw for 129 yards and two touchdowns, while Vass ran for 177 yards. Shawn Green also contributed to the rushing game with 56 yards on the ground.
Michael Depaolo was the best wideout in the league this week as Pen Argyl lost to John Toman's team. Depaolo racked up four receptions for 82 yards. Mike Racciato helped Pen Argyl's passing attack out by catching three balls for 48 yards.
Ryan Hunt provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Paul Reduzzi's team fell to the Spartans. He completed 10 passes for 179 yards and also ran for 18 yards.
Wilson Area's Ryan Dailey and Zack Bogoly have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dailey has thrown for 589 yards this season, while Bogoly, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 23 catches for 444 yards. Vass from the Slaters leads the league in rushing with 857 yards.
The top two teams in Colonial will face off this week when first place Catasauqua takes on second place Bangor. Catasauqua beat Saucon Valley last week, while Bangor bested the Warriors.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Frank Scagliotta's team takes on the Rough Riders. The Slaters have allowed 34 points this season, while Catasauqua has given up 17. Bangor allowed 6 points last week as it topped Wilson Area.
Tom Falzone's team extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Panthers, 37-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
