North Pontotoc waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the North Pontotoc Vikings who were credited with the victory. The North Pontotoc Vikings got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the South Pontotoc Cougars's two. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Anne Crotwell and Kyndall Roberts scored all three of North Pontotoc's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 65 goals.

North Pontotoc has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 32 goals over those five contests. As for South Pontotoc, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.
