Baseball Recap: Clark's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

Clark fell victim to Madison and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Ben Roska spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

Clark's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-7. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 9-8-1.

While Clark had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
