Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Sandy Creek Patriots

Trinity Christian is 0-5 against Sandy Creek since December of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Lions will head out to challenge the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Trinity Christian challenged Troup County on Tuesday. The Lions took a 71-56 bruising from the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while the Tigers are ranked 80th).

Meanwhile, Sandy Creek put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against McIntosh by a score of 65-56. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly nine points.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Sandy Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Trinity Christian was taken down by Sandy Creek 79-43 in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
