Basketball Recap: Making Waves Academy Takes a Loss

If Making Waves Academy was riding high fresh off their 71-38 takedown of Fremont Christian on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marlins lost to the Jewish Community Wolves at home by a 52-35 margin on Monday. The Marlins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Making Waves Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jewish Community, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Making Waves Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Elite at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jewish Community, they will venture away from home to challenge Pacific Bay Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
