Basketball Recap: Centennial Extends Winning Streak to Three

Centennial waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Deming Wildcats by a score of 43-35. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Centennial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joy Hunt out in front who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Rizaya Cash, who posted eight points and five steals.

Centennial pushed their record up to 5-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Deming, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Centennial will face off against Alamogordo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Deming, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-19 victory against Hatch Valley on the 18th.
