C J Scarpa and Jack Sylvester provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Methuen. The longest such play in Merrimack Valley - Large this season, the connection resulted in 70 yards.
Lowell was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Franklin 31-20. The Red Raiders came in at 11 in the state poll after placing at number 33 last week.
Andover's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Scarpa threw for 255 and three touchdowns and Cam Farnham had 84 yards receiving. On the ground Sylvester chipped in 100 yards. Sylvester helped Andover's passing attack out by catching one ball for 70 yards.
Andover's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Warriors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Scarpa has thrown for 798 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Will Heikkinen has 23 catches for 329 yards. Sylvester leads the league in rushing with 139 yards.
The Golden Warriors took down the Rangers 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Scarpa ran for five yards in the win.
