After a string of four wins, Independence's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were dealt a 64-34 loss at the hands of the Field Falcons. The Blue Devils were probably out for revenge after losing 65-23 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Delilah Rahe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Field, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Rahe is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played. Abby Harlin was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Field, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will take on Lutheran West at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Field, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Field Falcons challenge the Ravenna Ravens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Field is facing Ravenna at the right time seeing as Ravenna is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
