Plano has gone 3-0 against Yorkville Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Plano Reapers will head out on the road to face off against the Yorkville Christian Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Yorkville Christian is hoping to do what Parkview Christian Academy couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to Plano's winning streak, which now stands at seven games. Plano took their matchup with ease, bagging a 56-24 victory over Parkview Christian Academy. With the Reapers ahead 34-12 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Josie Larson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 12 on her way to 15 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. The game was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Rowe, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 10 points.
Plano smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 32 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Yorkville Christian won against Lisle on Saturday with 70 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Yorkville Christian blew past Indian Creek, posting a 70-35 win. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Timberwolves are ranked 571st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Plano better keep an eye on Payton Wallin. She was instrumental in Yorkville Christian's win, going 9 of 18 on her way to 21 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. With that strong performance, Wallin is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Danielle Bulson, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 18 points along with five boards and four steals.
Plano is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.1 points per game. As for Yorkville Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Plano strolled past Yorkville Christian in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 by a score of 69-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plano since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
