Football Recap: Ramapo Starts Season with Win Against Irvington + How To Watch

Ramapo gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the Irvington Blue Knights, posting a 35-0 victory. The Raiders' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Casey Grusser was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 181 yards and two TDs while completing 78.6% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Liam Hayward was another key player, gaining 96 total yards and a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ramapo will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ridgewood at 6:30 p.m. on September 12. As for Irvington, they will head out to take on Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Blue Knights' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
