Walnut Grove posted their closest victory since August 5th on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Ola Mustangs 2-1. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 2-0 loss the last time these two teams met.
Walnut Grove found their leader in sophomore Scout Peterson, who had eight digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Peterson. Josie Knight also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Walnut Grove was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive games.
Despite the defeat, Ola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lily Powell had 15 digs and three aces.
