Walnut Grove hadn't done well against Ola recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Warriors won by a set and slipped past the Mustangs 2-1. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Walnut Grove found their leader in sophomore Scout Peterson, who had eight digs and six aces. Those six aces set a new season-high mark for Peterson. Josie Knight also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Despite the loss, Ola saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lily Powell had 15 digs and three aces.

The win made it two in a row for Walnut Grove and bumps their season record up to 7-3. As for Ola, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Walnut Grove has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against George Walton Academy on the 16th. As for Ola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Eastside on the 14th.
