Football Game Preview: Clark Chargers vs. Cimarron-Memorial Spartans

Clark has gone a perfect 3-0 against Cimarron-Memorial recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chargers will be playing at home against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Clark has given up an average of 29 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Clark is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Durango with a sharp 57-35 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Clark found their leader in sophomore Felix Romero, who rushed for 183 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Romero is now averaging an impressive 121 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Aaron McCrary, who threw for 202 yards and two TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Clark was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 391 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Cimarron-Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The contest between the Spartans and Bonanza didn't end well, with the Spartans falling 31-14.

Clark now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cimarron-Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Clark came out on top in a nail-biter against Cimarron-Memorial in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, sneaking past 23-20. Will the Chargers repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
