Volleyball Recap: Bishop O'connell Falls Short Against Ranked Paul VI

Bishop O'Connell faced Paul VI in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Panthers. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Paul VI scored at least 20 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 25-20.

Bishop O'Connell's loss came despite strong showings from Caroline Semko and Natalie Hobson. Semko had 15 digs and two aces, while Hobson had three aces and two blocks. Hobson is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 12 games she's played.

Amanda Dadio had a dynamite game For Paul VI., getting 12 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Dadio a new career-high in assists (22).
