Soccer Recap: Wilbur Cross Takes a Loss

After flying high against Joel Barlow on Monday, Wilbur Cross came back down to earth. The Governors fell just short of the East Hartford Hornets by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Wilbur Cross couldn't quite close it out.

Danny Guittierez and Oscar Grossman scored both of Wilbur Cross' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Wilbur Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Wilbur Cross will take on East Lyme at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for East Hartford, they will head out to take on Plainville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
