Preview: McKinney North Bulldogs vs. South Garland Titans
The McKinney North Bulldogs will face off against the South Garland Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
McKinney North had to start their season on the road on November 14th, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost to Boyd on the road by a decisive 69-52 margin.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to South Garland, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were beaten by Cedar Hill 91-34 on Tuesday. South Garland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Despite the defeat, South Garland saw an underclassman step up: Elijah Darden scored 16 points. The game was Darden's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Medford Body was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 blocks.
McKinney North's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for South Garland, they bumped their record down to 0-4 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
McKinney North didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against South Garland in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 50-45 win.
