Surry Central is 6-1 against Wilkes Central since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Surry Central Golden Eagles face off against Wilkes Central Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Surry Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Surry Central is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Providence Grove on Saturday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. The Golden Eagles have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Surry Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Pardue, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Wilkes Central's offense. They came up short against Hibriten on Friday, falling 12-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Surry Central fell to 4-1. As for Wilkes Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything went Surry Central's way against Wilkes Central in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Surry Central made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Surry Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
