Softball Game Preview: Creekview Mustangs vs. The Colony Cougars

Creekview hasn't had much luck against The Colony recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Creekview Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge The Colony Cougars at 6:45 p.m. Creekview has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Creekview is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Wakeland on Tuesday. They came up short against the Wolverines, falling 18-1.

Kaelani Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run.

Meanwhile, The Colony was not the first on the board on Tuesday, but they got there more often. They won by a run and slipped past Highland Park 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-9. As for Creekview, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Creekview took their victory against The Colony in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 19-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creekview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
