After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Williams Field, Gilbert was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Queen Creek Bulldogs. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Kaeli Moreno paced Gilbert's offense, picking up 23 kills. Moreno got some help from Olivia Regan and her 36 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Queen Creek lost, don't look at Alexis Ramirez. Despite the final result, she had 21 digs and four assists. Ramirez has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Gilbert's victory ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-12. As for Queen Creek, they dropped their record down to 4-20 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Gilbert didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Higley on the 27th. As for Queen Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Williams Field on the 27th.
