Baseball Recap: Mound-Westonka Drops Season-High Score on Jordan

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mound-Westonka). They never let the Jordan Hubmen / Jaguars get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory on Thursday. The White Hawks haven't had any issues with the Hubmen / Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Cole Drill, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Max Kraay was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

Mound-Westonka always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mound-Westonka's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Jordan, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mound-Westonka will welcome Edison at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tommies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the White Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jordan, they will take on Albert Lea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
