Soccer Recap: LaFayette Comes Up Short

LaFayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against the Muskogee Roughers, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, LaFayette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 390th in Georgia, while Muskogee are ranked 64th in Oklahoma).

LaFayette's goal came courtesy of Elijah Decker, who's now up to three this season.

LaFayette's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Muskogee, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Looking ahead, LaFayette will host Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Muskogee, they will be taking part in a tournament against Harding Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
