Reebok Breakout Power Rankings: Top 10 showcase events

After highlighting top tournaments last week, the final installment of Reebok's Breakout Power Rankings are devoted to the nation's premier showcase events (those with predetermined matchups, often called shootouts).

The Spalding Hoophall Classic has emerged to dominate this category in much the same fashion as the City of Palms Classic has for tournaments. The 2012 Hoophall Classic, to be played once again at Blake Arena in Springfield, Mass., features 11 nationally ranked teams and more than 30 of the Top 100 seniors in the country.

"The Big Three" in the Class of 2013 will also be on hand, No. 1 prospect Jabari Parker of Simeon (Chicago), No. 2 Julius Randle of Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas) and No. 3 Nerlens Noel of Tilton School (N.H.).

Key matchups include No. 1 Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) vs. No. 8 Simeon, No. 7 Miller Grove (Lithonia, Ga.) vs. No. 10 St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), No. 9 Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) vs. No. 13 DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), No. 3 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) vs. No. 22 Christ the King (Middle Village, N.Y.) and No. 20 Riverside Academy (Reserve, La.) vs. No. 24 Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.). The event will be held Jan. 12-16 less than three miles from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
