Baseball Game Preview: Crestline Bulldogs vs. Mt. Gilead Indians

The Crestline Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Mt. Gilead Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crestline has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.

Crestline came up short against Central Christian on Tuesday, falling 13-7.

Crestline saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Hefner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Hefner also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Adam Burton was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Mt. Gilead lost 13-4 to Fredericktown on Wednesday.

Mt. Gilead's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Crestline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Crestline suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Mt. Gilead in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
