Basketball Recap: Grant Heun and Nathan Woessner Secure Win for Unity Christian

After losing to East Moline Christian the last time they met, Unity Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Unity Christian Knights secured a 28-22 W over the East Moline Christian Eagles on Friday. The Knights didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.

Unity Christian was led to victory by Nathan Woessner and Grant Heun. Woessner almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards, while Heun posted eight points and six rebounds. Woessner is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games he's played.

East Moline Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Bright Tsolegnanou and Noah Willcox. Tsolegnanou dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards, while Willcox had seven points along with seven steals and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Tsolegnanou is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game.

Unity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for East Moline Christian, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Unity Christian has already played their next game, a 51-41 defeat against Rivermont Collegiate on the 14th. As for East Moline Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 37-36 win against Galesburg Christian on the 23rd.
