Point Arena came out on top against Potter Valley  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run fifth inning. The Pirates put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp  18-9 win. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Addison Clark was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing 3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Clark was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news, Point Arena got a  massive  performance out of  Hattie Piper, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.  Serina Azbill was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs, three  RBI,  and one  double.
Point Arena's record is now 4-9. As for Potter Valley,  they are  on  a  14-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Point Arena will  take on  rival Calistoga  at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Potter Valley is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Technology  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
