Baseball Recap: Jerome Tigers vs. Burley Bobcats
Jerome hadn't done well against Burley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 7-4. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in March, they had to take a 10-0 loss.
Sawyer Tilley made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tilley was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Jerome's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 7-13 when he doesn't).
