Baseball Recap: Jerome's Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Jerome hadn't done well against Burley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Bobcats by a score of 7-4. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bobcats back in March, they had to take a 10-0 loss.

Sawyer Tilley made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tilley was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Jerome's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 7-13 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Julian Orozco was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Jerome's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14. As for Burley, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Coincidentally, Jerome and Burley will both be playing Mountain Home the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will head out to face the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
