Soccer Recap: Rincon/University Comes Up Short

After flying high against Desert Christian last Saturday, Rincon/University came back down to earth. The Rincon/University Rangers fell 4-2 to the Palo Verde Titans on Thursday. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.

Joaquin Carvajal and David Eloy scored both of Rincon/University's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Rincon/University's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-2. As for Palo Verde, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3-3.

Rincon/University didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against Pueblo on the 3rd. Palo Verde has also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Rio Rico on the 3rd.
