 Taft and Ridgewood are an even 3-3 against one another  since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Taft Eagles will look to defend their home field  on Monday against the Ridgewood Rebels at 4:30  p.m. Taft is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9  runs per game  this season.
 Taft can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Saturday. They put the hurt on Prospect with a sharp  11-1 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what Taft needed considering they were shutout in their previous   game.
 The team  relied heavily on  Elena Gonzalez, who  went 3-for-4 with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Michaela Power, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI and two  doubles.
 Meanwhile, Ridgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  14-1 to Trinity.
 Taft has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record  this season. As for Ridgewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.
