New England entered their tilt with Mott-Regent on Thursday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Wildfire by a score of 3-1. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Wildfire walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

New England had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-18.

Kallie Dinius paced New England's offense, picking up 13 kills. Dinius got some help from Meadow Olsonawski and her 15 assists. Finally, Ayrison Magelky kept New England's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

New England's win bumped their record up to 18-6-2. As for Mott-Regent, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4-1.

Looking ahead, New England will welcome Standing Rock at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mott-Regent, they will venture away from home to challenge South Heart at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
