League recap: Bossier scores huge upset over North DeSoto

The biggest upset of the week belonged to North DeSoto, who took down 50th ranked North DeSoto, 28-21.

Bossier extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 1 this week by beating the Griffins, 28-21. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Bearkats.

North DeSoto's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Griffins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Austin Simmons has thrown for 679 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Damien Boone has six catches for 360 yards. Aurren Cooksey leads the league in rushing with 1163 yards.

Bossier made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,427 from 4,384. The improvement was the result of 28-21 victory over North DeSoto last week.
