Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Creede). They blew past the Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds 71-21 on Friday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-13.

Lila Fairchild was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 40 points and 18 steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Creede's points. Another player making a difference was Jasmin Laing, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 steals.

Creede has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.6 points per game. As for Sangre de Cristo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Creede didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-26 victory against Antonito on the 1st. As for Sangre de Cristo, they will take on Kim/Branson at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kim/Branson's defense has only allowed 26.1 points per game this season, so Sangre de Cristo's offense will have their work cut out for them.
