Volleyball Recap: Clear Spring Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

With a playoff win on the line, Clear Spring rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the South Carroll Cavaliers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Blazers, who have now won five matches in a row.

Leading Clear Spring to victory were Malea Shingleton and Callie Hose. Shingleton had 35 assists and eight digs, while Hose had 17 digs and three assists. Shingleton has been hot, having posted 26 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Clear Spring was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive contests.

Clear Spring's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for South Carroll, they moved to 16-2 with that defeat, which also ended their 16-match winning streak.

Coming up, Clear Spring will take on Patterson Mill on Saturday. South Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
