Baseball Recap: Edgewood Wins Going Away Against Lebanon

Edgewood barely beat Lebanon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Warriors on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Edgewood has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Lebanon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.

Edgewood and Lebanon should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 227th) will meet Carroll (ranked 515th) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Lebanon will square off against Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (21 vs. 578).
