Baseball Recap: Scotland County's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Scotland County entered their tilt with North Shelby on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Raiders. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vincent Dale made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Dale was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Buford, who went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carter Clatt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Scotland County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Shelby only managed three hits.

Scotland County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for North Shelby, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
