Softball Recap: Dixie Triumphs

Dixie took a 16-run defeat the last time they faced off against Enterprise, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Flyers skirted past the Wolves 9-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Flyers.

Cameron Hunt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Chesney Robbins, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Dixie's record is now 15-8. As for Enterprise, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Dixie will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Flyers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Enterprise, they will take on South Sevier at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
