Wirt County won the last time they faced Magnolia and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Blue Eagles. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Brody Ewing, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with seven stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Wirt County: the team is 9-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Wyatt Boice was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Wirt County and bumps their season record up to 12-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Magnolia, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
