While North Smithfield's victory against Classical wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Northmen narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Purple 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Northmen have posted since April 17th.

Tyler Albino made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over 6.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs. North Smithfield is 6-2 when Albino posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise.
