It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Bellows Falls ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fair Haven Slaters with a sharp 19-13 win. The victory continues a trend for the Terriers in their matchups with the Slaters: they've now won three in a row.

Izzy Stoodley made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Stoodley was even better at the plate, going 4-for-6 with five runs, three doubles, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Bellows Falls got a massive performance out of Jaelyn Fletcher, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances. Cadence James was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base.

Bellows Falls kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They got five more hits than Fair Haven's also-impressive total of 12.

Bellows Falls' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Fair Haven, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bellows Falls will take on Hartford at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fair Haven, they will square off against Mount Anthony at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
