Volleyball Recap: Westminster's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Westminster won the last time they faced Gateway and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Olympians 3-2.

Westminster got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-17, 25-11, 31-33, 17-15.

Briley Her paced Westminster's offense, picking up ten kills. Her got some help from Adrian Vannavong and his 14 assists. Her also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Isaac Lopez, racking up four apiece.

Westminster's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-13. As for Gateway, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Westminster has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Boulder on the 8th. As for Gateway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Denver West on the 5th.
