Football Recap: Madison Murrell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Long Island Lutheran over Riverdale Baptist

Long Island Lutheran came up short against Riverdale Baptist on Saturday and fell 34-24. Long Island Lutheran has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Long Island Lutheran lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madison Murrell, who rushed for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kameron Roy also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.

Long Island Lutheran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Javaun Sullivan and Xavier O'Brady. O'Brady is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Long Island Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Riverdale Baptist, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.
