Baseball Game Preview: Union Local Jets vs. Maysville Panthers

The Union Local Jets are taking a road trip to square off against the Maysville Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Union Local has three straight wins, Maysville has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Union Local needed a bit of extra time to put away Monroe Central. They skirted past the Seminoles 4-3. That's two games straight that the Jets have won by just one run.

Meanwhile, Maysville came up short against John Glenn on Thursday, falling 10-1.

Union Local's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Maysville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Union Local took their win against Maysville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
