Basketball Recap: BELIEVE Circle City Skates Past Purdue Broad Ripple with Ease

BELIEVE Circle City had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 54-27 win over the Purdue Broad Ripple Lynx. The Cyclones pushed the score to 51-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lynx cut but never quite recovered from.

BELIEVE Circle City was led to victory by Cordarionna Kirkwood and Justyce Hunt. Kirkwood posted 15 points and three steals, while Hunt earned 14 points and three steals. Kirkwood is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bre'Asjah Wilson, who had seven points.

Purdue Broad Ripple's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nadia Harris, who scored 14 points, and Emmaly Britt, who put up 11 points. That was a full 51.9% of Purdue Broad Ripple's points, marking the third time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

BELIEVE Circle City pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.8 points per game. As for Purdue Broad Ripple, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
