Basketball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 57-39 bruising from the East Newton Patriots. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Southwest now has a losing record at 2-3. As for East Newton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest will challenge Marionville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Newton, they will welcome El Dorado Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Newton is facing El Dorado Springs at the right time seeing as El Dorado Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
