Vandegrift is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Vista Ridge, who was ranked seventh at the time (Vandegrift was ranked fifth). Vandegrift fell just short of Vista Ridge by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McNeil, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 7-2 margin over Stony Point on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mavericks, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

McNeil pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those seven games. As for Vandegrift, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
