Football Recap: Mount View Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Mount View extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were beaten by the Craig County Rockets 56-8. On the bright side, the eight- point performance marked the Golden Knights' highest-scoring game to date.

As for Craig County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. The win was all the more spectacular given their disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 337th in Virginia, while Mount View is ranked 110th in West Virginia).

Craig County found their leader in sophomore Bradyn Dunbar, who rushed for 120 yards and one score on only nine carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount View will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wyoming East at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Craig County, they will face off against Twin Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
