Basketball Recap: Reading Comes Up Short

Reading was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS and fell 58-30. The Blue Devils lost against the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 53-51 score last time.

Will Manning had an outrageously good game for Madeira as he went 7 of 12 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Hopewell, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds.

Reading's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Madeira, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Reading will welcome Wyoming at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wyoming will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Reading surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madeira, they will venture away from home to take on Indian Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
