Basketball Game Preview: Dacula Falcons vs. Pope Greyhounds

The Dacula Falcons and the Pope Greyhounds will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Dacula is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Dacula was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Lovett.

Meanwhile, Pope unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of North Cobb by a score of 54-51. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Greyhounds came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Warriors are ranked 326th).

Dacula's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Pope, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Dacula came up short against Pope in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, falling 57-51. Can Dacula avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
