Volleyball Recap: Saks Wildcats vs. Wadley Bulldogs

Saks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They fell just short of the Wadley Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.

Saks actually scored more points across those five sets (105-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 15-25, 15-10.

It was another big night for Amya Brown, who had 39 digs, 18 kills, eight aces, and six blocks for Wadley. Brown is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in the last 15 games she's played dating back to last season. Ella Towler was another key player, getting 35 digs, seven aces, and three kills.

Saks' loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Wadley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Saks does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wadley, they will challenge Dadeville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
