Basketball Recap: Skyline Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Isaiah Bowens and Karter Battle

Skyline managed to keep up with Shadow Ridge until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Coyotes lost 59-34 to the Stallions. The game marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Skyline's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Karter Battle, who posted nine points, and Isaiah Bowens, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine boards. Battle is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Anthony Rath also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Shadow Ridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Skyline has already played their next contest, a 76-34 defeat against West Point on the 12th. As for Shadow Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-31 win against San Luis on the 12th.
