Soccer Recap: South Columbus vs. Pender
South Columbus lost against Pender back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The South Columbus Stallions fell 3-1 to the Pender Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Stallions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Patriots are ranked 228th).
South Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Pender, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Columbus' road trip will continue as they head out to face East Bladen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Pender, they will take on East Columbus at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Pender will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
